4GameSake.com -the making of

greetings..

Let me begin by stating this as the start of a new journey for me.

...from just 3d world to a 3d world with their own brains.
Yes audience i have now taken another step forward into the awesome
world of make believe. But this time its more with maths... logics... and if conditions.

With a perspective of making my own games i am now learning JavaScript.
and the starting side project of this awesome experience is _"making my own website"_

The url i have bought is 4gamesake.com

And hence in this blog post i will be about brushing up my graphic design skills to build the website i have dreamed about.

the first thing was to design a subtle yet influencing logo for the site.

the logo

The site although for teenagers should also be recognized as a polished place away from advertisements and distractions of a billion colors ,which to me.. don't let the important material stand out from rest. Hence after a lot of artworks for logo, I finalized this one.

And seriously , as an artist I just love origami.
Its an art style which is simple n yet elegant, leaving the audience with an open space for some of their own imagination.

A logo..
well.. thats good,
but what about the part of the of site that puts you in the feel of it?
yes i mean something that tells you what the site is all about in the most influential manner possible.
I, as a user have struggled on some websites to capture maker's motive.
I sure didn't want my audience to not 'feel' what is the motive of this website. This thought gave birth to the second artwork for my website's home page.

homepage with typography elements

Typography gave me the ability to remove distractions of a thousand words and be specific to the user as of what i want to publish on this site, with a much better visual appeal.

till i work on my first game, il figure out more about what i want in my website for social gaming..
I am open to suggestions
would love to hear your inputs people.

Thank you
